📜 Terms of Service

Welcome to PrayCo. By downloading, installing, or using the PrayCo mobile application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

✅ 1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PrayCo, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country of residence)
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• You agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations

🙏 2. Description of the Service

PrayCo is a free mobile application designed to help users track, organize, and deepen their personal prayer life. The App provides features including, but not limited to:

• Creating and managing prayer requests and subjects
• Tracking prayer sessions (duration, frequency, streaks)
• Organizing prayers by categories
• Setting weekly prayer schedules with reminders
• Sharing prayers within groups
• Adding notes and testimonies to prayers
• Viewing prayer activity history

💳 3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

PrayCo offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (collectively, “PrayCo Supporter”) so users may voluntarily contribute to the App's development and maintenance. The App remains fully functional without any subscription; subscriptions do not unlock additional features.

3.1 Available Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android. The exact price for your region is shown in the App on the purchase screen, before you confirm any payment.

3.2 Auto-Renewal

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account upon confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• The renewal price is the same as the original subscription unless we communicate a change in advance.

3.3 Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions

You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings:

• iOS: Settings › [Your Name] › Subscriptions › PrayCo
• Android: Google Play Store › Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › PrayCo

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to any subscription benefits until that date. Deleting the App alone does not cancel an active subscription.

3.4 Refunds

Except as required by applicable law, all subscription fees are non-refundable. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their respective refund policies.

3.5 Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where required by Apple or Google.

3.6 Privacy and EULA

Subscription-related data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. These Terms and the Privacy Policy together form the complete End User License Agreement (EULA) for PrayCo and its subscriptions.

👤 4. Account Registration

4.1 Account Creation

To use PrayCo, you must create an account using one of the following methods:

• Email and password
• Google Sign-In

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information up to date.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4.3 One Account Per User

Each user may only maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the Service is prohibited.

5.1 Ownership

5.2 License Grant

By submitting User Content to PrayCo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will never sell, share, or use your content for advertising purposes.

5.3 Content Responsibilities

You agree that your User Content will not:

• Contain unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or hateful material
• Infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
• Contain spam, malware, or any form of malicious content
• Impersonate another person or entity

5.4 Group Content

When you share prayers or content within a group, that content becomes visible to all members of that group. You acknowledge that:

• Group members can view your shared prayers, subjects, and completions
• Group administrators and moderators can manage shared content (approve, reject, or remove)
• Leaving a group does not automatically delete content you previously shared

🚫 6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or services
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the App
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them
• Use group features to harass, manipulate, or exert undue pressure on other users
• Collect or store personal data of other users beyond what is visible through normal App usage

👥 7. Groups and Community Features

7.1 Group Creation and Membership

• Any user may create a group or join one via an invite code
• Group owners and moderators are responsible for managing their group's content and membership
• PrayCo is not responsible for interactions, disputes, or content within user-created groups

7.2 Moderation

• Moderated groups require administrative approval for certain actions (adding prayers, marking as answered, etc.)
• Group owners may promote, demote, or remove members at their discretion
• PrayCo reserves the right to intervene in or dissolve groups that violate these Terms

7.3 Group Data Visibility

When you join a group, certain information is visible to other group members:

• Your first name, last name, and email address
• Your role within the group
• Prayers and content you share within the group

🔔 8. Notifications

PrayCo may send local notifications (prayer reminders) based on your configured schedule. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and are not sent through external push notification services.

9.1 PrayCo's Rights

The App, including its design, code, branding, logos, icons, and all related materials, is the exclusive property of PrayCo and its creators. All rights are reserved.

9.2 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App
• Use the PrayCo name, logo, or branding without prior written permission
• Create derivative works based on the App

⚠️ 10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• That data will not be lost or corrupted

📉 11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• PrayCo, its founders, developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) ten euros (€10).
• We are not liable for any loss of data, including prayer data, notes, or testimonies, whether caused by technical failure, user error, or account deletion

🗑️ 12. Account Deletion

12.1 User-Initiated Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile › Delete my account). Upon deletion:

• Your user profile data will be permanently deleted from our servers
• Your Firebase Authentication account will be removed
• Data shared in groups prior to deletion may persist within those groups

12.2 Processing Time

Account deletion is processed immediately. However, residual copies may remain in backup systems for a limited period before being automatically purged.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised
• Material changes will be communicated through the App or by other appropriate means
• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms

PrayCo uses third-party services to operate. These services have their own terms and privacy policies:

⚖️ 15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.

🧩 16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

📄 17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PrayCo regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
